The Quetglas Award is an annual recognition granted by the Fundación Obras Sociales Vicentinas (OSOVI) in Honduras. It honors individuals who stand out for their altruistic work and commitment to the underprivileged, following the legacy of Father Antonio Quetglas.
The award is open to individuals aged 15 and older who have carried out impactful and socially relevant actions, significantly improving the integration and quality of life of underprivileged social groups. This includes helping them overcome physical, economic, or social limitations while adhering to Christian and Vincentian values such as simplicity, humility, and charity.
To qualify for the award, the nominator must present a biography detailing the nominee’s work, the duration of their assistance, the uniqueness and innovation of the measures implemented, and the results achieved by the nominee.
